If you're looking to make your Christmas more meaningful I can think of no better way than by giving of your time, talents, or blessings.
The saying "It is better to give than to receive" applies even more this time of the year. I personally get much satisfaction out of knowing some small act of kindness means so much to someone else.
I'm not talking about breaking the bank, or spending countless hours volunteering. I'm just talking about the small things...Toys For Tots donations, making a donation to your church if it has an Angel Tree program, dropping a little more into the Salvation Army Kettle, buying some food and taking it to the food bank, sending cards to members of the military, etc.
While these gestures may sometimes seem small, they truly mean a great deal to the recipients. Think about the person on Christmas morning who has a gift to open because you made that donation. Think about the person who has something to eat Christmas morning because you dropped off food at the food bank. Think about that member in the military overseas who gets a Christmas card because you took a few minutes to mail one.
You have the ability to make Christmas for someone else...and make yours all the more meaningful at the same time.
Have a great Christmas season!!!
