Age is all relative...but it is still hard for me to imagine Bruce Springsteen is 60!
"The Boss" hit the big 6-0 Wednesday.
I can't say that I'm a Bruce fanatic, but his music from "Born In The USA," was a big part of my youth. Those now classic songs, "Born In The USA, "Dancing In The Dark," "Glory Days," "I'm On Fire," "My Hometown," and many more...instantly transport me back in time to the end of high school and the beginning of college.
It is those years of youth where it seems like we're more in tuned to pop culture. The "Born In The USA" album (yes, album is what we called them back then) is, as they say, part of the soundtrack of my life.
But one thing I learned over the years...we grow to appreciate many things much more as we grow older. One of those is music.
While "Born In The USA" was just music to me back in the 1980's...today I can listen to those songs and look back at how
powerful that music really is.
Happy Birthday Bruce.
