Christmas Parades Galore!

We're not even past Thanksgiving yet, but that isn't stopping the Christmas parade season from kicking off.

Saturday you can catch myself along with Dave Jordan and the rest of the WITN news team in the annual Jacksonville Holiday Parade. It's going to be cold, but we're bundling up and are hoping you'll all join us for the festivities.

Isn't it crazy how we're already getting into the holiday spirit? I guess it's not that out of the ordinary...I saw Christmas decorations out with the Halloween ones! Regardless, it's so funny how fast the year goes by. It seems like just yesterday we were doing this. I guess the year has gone by pretty fast!

Hope to see you out at the parades this year regardless of where you live! We'll be all over Eastern North Carolina this season wishing you and yours a beautiful Christmas season!

I would like to comment on WITN's coverage of the Jacksonville Christmas parade. I set in front of my TV for 30 minutes waiting to see the Swansboro High School Band in the parade. I was totally shocked when you showed about 5 seconds of the band, then switched to a person dressed up in a dog suit.. My granddaughter plays for this band and I was looking forward to seeing her since I couldn't be at the parade. I am very dissappointed in your cover of this portion of the parade, especially when there was coverage of all the other bands in this parade. I don't know who is to blame for this, but in the future they should be a little more aware of what they are doing. I would rather see a school band than a person dressed up in a dog suit.
