Wouldn't it be nice to know with a high degree of certainty if the presidential candidates are lying during a debate? Why not hook Obama and McCain up to lie-detector machines!
I recently read an article where there was such a proposal for Congressional candidates in Indiana. That got me thinking. Wouldn't that be a great idea for a presidential debate? I sure bet people would watch.
A polygraph debate could mean we just might get to the bottom of what the candidates think about the issues and what they REALLY want to do.
Now I'm not saying either candidate is lying to us But a polygraph debate just might be an eye-opening experience for all of us. Under the right conditions, polygraph tests are said to be 85 to 95-percent accurate. Compare that to the truth you think you're getting now.
Will we ever see such a polygraph debate? I really doubt it...unless it's a skit on Saturday Night Live!
