My Favorite Part Of The N.C. Seafood Festival

There's a lot to enjoy about the North Carolina Seafood Festival...but my favorite part is the food.

If you have ever been to the festival in Morehead City you know there's just about any kind of seafood you would want.  My favorites are the Cajun shrimp pitas, seafood spud and the crab cakes.   My mouth is watering just thinking about them!

Of course you will find all of the other foods you would expect at a fair...deep fried turkey legs, cheesecake on a stick and frozen lemonade, just to mention a few.

But the North Carolina Seafood Festival is about more than just good food.  It's about family fun, recognizing the fishing industry and the importance of seafood to eastern North Carolina.

The festival also provides an opportunity for non-profits to raise funds.  Since 1987, over 1.8 million dollars has been dispersed among the non-profit groups participating.

The 22nd annual festival is set for this weekend along the Morehead City waterfront.  Hope to see you there.

Another year of wonderful food, great entertainment, & lots of crafts. Loved the Wine Garden and how all the companies were there together. To know so many wines are made here in North Carolina is great.I got to try my first tomato pie,(growing up eating tomato sandwiches all summer)it was a treat. To see so many groups being allowed to speak of our Lord & God openly and so many young ones also was truly a blessing. Most definitely got another T-shrit and a very full tummy with wonderful tasting food. BUT... My best time was meeting & speaking to the man I wake up to every morning before going to work, which is Jim Howard. I love Jim & Heather in the morning and the job they do, soooo... Keep it up guys We are watching you in Dudley.

I just listened to Gov.Palin in Greenville and what a shame! She never said one sentence with substance - how McCain & her would address the economy, jobs, foreign relations.........all she did was 30 minutes of cheerleading. Why would anyone even think of voting for McCain because Palin's on the ticket? She has nothing to offer Main Street America, nothing and she certainly proved that in her short speech tonight in Greenville.

Looks like the Festival was another success. Got another t-shirt to add to the collection and lots of good times to add to the memory banks!
