It's time once again to watch those Friday Night Lights heat up and young athletes from across the East suit up and take the field.

I can't believe we're here already can you?  It seems like just yesterday we were closing up the season, but before the start of the school year begins for High School students, teams are already on the field battling it out.

It brings me back to my High School days and the fierce competition that ensued.   I was on the dance team which was a part of the band.  We spent all summer and fall practicing to show our school spirit.  Now when I was involved in this our team stunk to say the least.  The guys had great intentions but so many games we'd watch the score board double and sometimes even triple against our guys.  None the less, every touchdown, interception and first and ten we'd be cheering all the way.

It's so exciting to be a part of this in High School and in college and I can't tell you how excited I am to see our local teams take part in and enjoy America's favorite pastime.
