Hard Work Pays Off

Michael Phelps record setting Olympics is about more than just swimming. It's about setting goals, working hard for them and achieving them as a result.

There were plenty of people who told Phelps he couldn't possible win eight gold medals in Beijing. He used those words as ammunition to help inspire and motivate him.

We should now use Phelps performance as an inspiration in own own lives. Want to do better in school? Want to lose those extra few pounds? Want a better job?

We, individually and collectively as a society, could benefit greatly by doing what Phelps did. Set goals, work hard for them and then achieve them.

As for Phelps...he's already looking forward to the next Olympics. The first thing he said he needs to do...set goals!
