Brett Favre is arguably one of the best quarterbacks the NFL has seen. He retired in March as the NFL's all-time passing leader. Retired is the key word.
But it seems Favre is having a change of heart. There's only one problem. The Green Bay Packers have moved on and named Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback.
Favre has indicated if he can't start with the Packers then he wants them to release him so he can play with another team.
For many fans, what Favre is doing seems to be taking away from his storied career. It's like he's holding the Packers hostage. They can't toss Rodgers aside just because Favre now says he wants to play. They also don't want him playing on a team that could face the Packers.
It seems Favre has done to the Packers something he didn't do very often while he was the team's starting quarterback...put them in a no win situation.
