Yulu really like what you find at Hulu....

David from Washington sent me a note asking if you really could watch NBC shows for free on the Internet and in the process enlightened me about hulu.com

Sometimes the line gets blurred between television and the Internet.

Recently, David from Washington e-mailed, "about a website that allows anyone to watch NBC's programs for free on the Internet. Is this possible? Is this legit? Or is it a fake. It also stated that NBC has about 100 movies that can be watched at the same site for free."

Yes, it is true.

Several years ago General Electric and NBC bought Universal Studios. This brought the NBC Television Network together with the Universal Movie Studio and several cable networks. Meanwhile Fox has expanded to include television, movies and now "MySpace".

NBC/Universal and Fox then joined together to create the "hulu" website. You will find it at www.hulu.com

There is a plethora of content there, but be careful, you will need a high-speed internet connection.

Quite a variety of programming is available......

Recent episodes of ‘The Office’, ‘My Name is Earl’ and the ‘Tonight Show’ are on the site.

There are complete episodes of show, or sometimes just short clips like ‘Saturday Night Live's’ presidential debate skits.

If you want to see the plays from Detroit Red wings game that you missed when we had severe weather several weeks ago, go to www.hulu.com!

NBC and Fox have even mined the film libraries to offer movies like ‘Rob Roy’ and ‘October Sky’ featuring a young Jake Gyllenhaal.

You can check out some of my favorite shows from the days of my youth like ‘McHale’s Navy’, ‘The Time Tunnel’ and ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ with Admiral Nelson in command of the Seaview.

O.K., so you're a little bit younger than me............ ‘Miami Vice’, ‘Married with Children’ and ‘The Simpsons’ is also available.

The only problem with "hulu" is that you have to park yourself in front of a computer monitor to watch the programs.

Since this video travels over the Internet, it may be possible to hook the computer to a digital television ......... If you've tried that, let me know. I may want to try it also!

Send me a note at askmike@witntv.com.

Then check out a classic episode of ‘Kojak’ and you can see "who loves you baby"!

Hulu is great! Alot of shows to watch, and movies too. Watched it on my 40 inch Samsung HDTV, hooked my laptop to it and I was set for a night of old tv favorites. Watched one of my favorite tv shows, Benson. Also watched a movie or two.
