Baby Lauren is getting pretty skilled at sitting up and is on the move...backwards.
I constantly marvel at how much my daughter Lauren is growing and changing in these first few months. She's nearly six months old, which I find incredibly hard to believe. At some times, I feel she was born last week; others, I feel like I have always known and loved her.
With her age, Lauren's social skills are blossoming. She loves to chat and seems pretty confident about whatever it is she is talking about! She is starting to sit up very well, too. She learned to do it well when she was focusing on one toy (usually a little piano) that was right in front of her. Still, if someone distracts her attention, especially from above her, Lauren is likely to topple over!
Lauren seems ready to get moving, too. She has started scooting herself around to the side and backwards...just never forward. I have read that a lot of babies start out going backwards, and it's a little entertaining to watch. I think it's frustrating and exciting for her.
Chris and I did some shopping for the final baby-proofing items we needed for our house since we think this little one will be moving before too long.
