Baby's First Christmas

Share your memories!

I always get excited as Christmas approaches, but as you may suspect, this year promises to be the most exciting yet.  This will be Baby Lauren's first Christmas.  Although she doesn't understand the concept of what is going on, she likely senses something special is taking place.

So far, Lauren's brushes with Christmas have been positive.  She loves looking at the Christmas tree and stroking the needles.  She has met Santa twice and greeted him with smiles both times!

My husband and I decided that we will continue a Christmas tradition my parents had with my siblings and me: Christmas pajamas.  We would get new jammies on Christmas Eve, usually the kind with feet (also known as "footie pajamas), and we would rub our feet on the rug to see if we could give each other tiny shocks.  Ahh, memories.   We are continuing the pajama tradition with Lauren with her inaugural pair of Christmas jammies.  I found a great deal on some pajamas and then had a woman at her daycare monogram her name on the rear end.  We thought that would be pretty cute for when she's crawling around on Christmas morning!

Please share your cherished Christmas memories!  Our family wishes yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We still get Christmas pajamas for our teenaged kids. They look forward to it every year. What a clever idea to have the monogramming done on the "up-side" of the PJs.

I LOVE that tradition, Heather. But then again, I am obsessed with pajamas for some reason (not for me, but for my boys). I love buying pj's for them!! Kids are just so darn cute in pj's! This is such a special Christmas for you and your family! Hope it is the best ever! We are celebrating a first also with little Cooper! Can't wait to see pics of those cute little pajamas!!
