One of the very first things my husband Chris and I discussed after first celebrating that we were having a baby was whether or not to find out what the sex of our baby is. It was unanimous: we didn't want to know.
That being said, this is a very personal decision that modern technology allows parents to make. Whatever other parents decide for themselves is great by me. I think it's a "win win." Parents who find out can plan for their baby better, while parents who do not find out can experience the old-fashioned delivery room suspense.
I have heard of some expectant parents who find out what the baby's sex is but then choose not to tell anyone else. I can honestly say that would not be an option for me. There's no way I could keep that kind information to myself! I deeply respect anyone who can!
I would love to hear about your experiences on this decision. Everyone has a story!
