Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, M*A*S*H and I Love Lucy Are Back On The Air
Have you had a chance to check out the Me-TV programming on WITN 7.2? We had the opportunity to load up our schedule with almost 100 hours per week of classic television and we’ve gotten some excellent feedback from our viewers.
In fact, we hear you when you tell us you want more classic programming to replace some of the talk shows that we have on right now. While we do have existing contracts that we need to honor, we hope to expand our classic offerings and we will be able to add a few hours of Me-TV to the weekend in September.
If you haven’t checked us out yet, here’s an easy link to our current schedule.
Let me share the answers to a few of the questions that we’ve been asked.
We don’t know when or if Dish Network or DirecTv will add WITN 7.2 to their local channel line-ups. We’ve offered the signal to them at no charge but they have not yet given us a timetable for when or if they’ll add us. If you are a satellite subscriber, I suggest adding an antenna to your system so that you can pull in WITN 7.2, WITN 7.3 and other digital signals that are now available to viewers in eastern North Carolina. If you have a question as to which antenna would work best for you, send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll share our thoughts.
We’ve been asked if the Me-TV line-up will change in the future. We’ve been told that they have purchased the rights to additional programming and the line-up will change from time-to-time.
Viewers have told us that they like the new programming but they’d really like to have access to our Live Doppler 7 at all times. As you know, it’s available on-line at witn.com and now we’ve made it available to you over the air 24/7 on WITN 7.3. We’ve dedicated some of our bandwidth to make our radar accessible to everyone who can pick up our broadcast signal. Wayne from Ahoskie found WITN 7.3 last week and sent us a letter saying “The live radar weather channel sure helps out a lot cause now when storms are in our area myself and lots of others can see what is coming towards our neighborhood so we can prepare to get in a safe place.”
Most of our cable partners have added WITN 7.2 to their line-ups. We're hoping to have an announcement soon for Charter Cable subscribers. All of the systems in eastern North Carolina are authorized to carry WITN 7.2 at no additional charge to them or to their subscribers. WITN 7.3, our live doppler channel, is not yet available via cable but the local systems are authorized to carry it if they choose to.
Thanks for watching WITN and using witn.com. We hope you'll be able to check us out on WITN 7.2 as well.
