These made me laugh. Hopefully you'll smile too.

Moderating comments is always good for a few laughs.  Here are a few of my recent favorites:

You act like this article took the place of a more important one. It didn't, there's plenty of web space. Pick and choose at will. Don't open this one if you aren't interested in it and you won't have an excuse to whine. Simple.

Comment on:  Willie Nelson Concert Cancelled, Band Members Issued Citations

I can’t figure out how these super sleuths knew that Willie’s crowd might have a little weed with them. That’s first rate detective work there, Ace. Maybe they should send these guys over to Afghanistan to find Bin Laden. Impressive.

Comment on: Winter Storm Warning For Most Of Eastern Carolina (153 , )

Everybody that wants to see snow should wear pajamas inside out tonight and flush ice cubes down the toilets --- this helps with the snow chances. Well, that is what my co-worker from Tennessee told me on today. LOL!! Anwyway, let it snow.....let it SNOW!!!!

LOL! OMG too funny. The one on weather related injuries was me. I probably posted it anon because I didn't feel like being sniped that day. Rare that I do that. I can't remember for sure if it got posted or not but I think so. Ok, that made me smile. heh :-D

You guys should post more of these, they're pretty amusing. Now, these were posts that were approved? I hope they weren't dismissed, I see a lot of worse stuff up there that gets approved. I'd at least like to see the personal attacks not go through, but hey, you take your chances when you post on the Internet. And even when you do and it backfires, it really isn't that big a deal. I've been on the web over half my life, and I've come to learn that personal attacks on the web reflect much more on the speaker than on the target. Each person's post is how they chose to represent themselves on the site, in y'all's case, a reputable local news site. I would not want to represent myself up here as someone who is insulting. That is why I try to share what I know, to build upon the article, especially when it's something I know a bit about (e.g. computers/tech, or child/developmental psychology).
