Thank you for having the Comments section up in the first place. It's helpful for those involved, even peripherally, with stories to correct inaccuracies. For whatever reason, stories are not always complete or correct (e.g. upset folks may not wish to speak to the press), but if someone personally involved can come up here and correct misinformation, it's helpful. There are a few people, however, who seem to misuse the system, and I was wondering how to go about notifying WITN about these comments. Some of them get pretty ugly, and there's really no call for that; even though, say, Republicans and Democrats may disagree, there's no reason for it to get personal. Resorting to a personal attack, in my book, tells me one has conceded all of one's points and is now grasping for straws. And this site really isn't the place for personal battles in the first place (unless you're involved with the story, I suppose).

for all the moving parts witn has to deal with, for all the delicate creatures witn must protect against being offended, i believe witn is a tremendous asset to the community and provides excellant briefing on the news. the online forum allows us to get a "feel" for the mood of our neighbors. once again, great job witn, keep it up. PLUS; your occassional grammatical errors are NOT that tramatic to most readers. i couldn't do your job. thanks

Amazing. If a white person kills a black person it is "racial", however, when a black kills two whites, the black leaders cry aloud when someone says it is racial. The issue with race in America is that (at times) (some) blacks want it both ways.

Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. But I think the section is just a bunch of name calling and slandering one another. And yes that is freedom of speech and yes I have the choice not to read them.Serious stories about rape and murder and all you read is nasty remarks about one another. Rule number #1, 6,8,9 and 10 are broken over and over again. And yes in the past I have written in and commented on the rule being broken. Nothing was done. Bloggs were continued to be posted that were "against the rules". I think its a shame. You think you are doing such a great thing for the viewers but its unprofessional to have your "rules" but not abide by them.
