Good Questions!

One of the more astute readers asked us how we "order" the stories on the site. He also had a good question about comments. Click for more information or to ask a question of your own.

Editors; I don't know exactly how you decide what stories stay and what stories go, but it isn't just from 'scrolling off' as you claim. Otherwise the stories would be in order by posting time and date. This isn't the case. I looked at the second page and they are NOT SEQUENTIAL. There are stories older in front of newer stories etc. So if the stories truly go away in a 'scroll off' sequence as you claim, they would all be in order with the oldest story being the last one on the page. I have looked for stories in the past on both pages and couldn't find them, only to have them magically reappear at a later time. No, I am not blind...I search thoroughly when I am looking for something in particular. Anyway, I am not beating you guys up, I am simply saying it isn't just the 'scroll off method' that sends a story to the abyss. Someone is doing some selection. I have also noticed some stories that would surely draw many comments that we cannot post to. Any reason for that?

Editor's Note: There are a number of factors involved in how stories are set up on the front page. We try to have the big stories from the past few hours on the top of the home page. For instance, the Clay Aiken story, while its gotten a lot of views, is not big news. It needs to be down the page even as a brand new story. However, if you see an older story up high, it's because either a) it's important, b) we have new information or c)it gets a lot of views.

There is a manual step we need to take to activate commenting. We want to have comments on 99.9% of our stories. If a story isn't accepting comments, chances are it's due to operator error. Let us know we forgot to enable comments and we'll likely get it fixed.

Just wondering what was up with this mornings Sunrise show? Just a shot of the weather maps and Jim off camera, speaking without a microphone, atleast it sounded that way. Heather was late and still no sign of Jim. What was the problem?

Good Question. I wish I had an answer to share with you. We're on hold for now.

When is WITN going to start building their new station on the old theatre lot on Arlington Blvd.? The sign saying "Future Home of WITN" has been up for quite some time. Would like to see some progress or are you waiting for the digital switch over first?

Concerning "Obessesions", I have owned this dvd for more than a year now. It is a 'must see" for all Americans. Why does it manner that it is offensive to "Others"? "Obsessions" simply documents & describes the intent that Islamic radicals have for America. If we continue to allow our so called "elite" from our Universities take issue because it is offensive to them, then my advise is "go back to your home lands or think in terms of reality or keep your whinning to yourself. Look at where Great Brittian is today. Their tollerance for the Islamic fanfare has now become a toxic landfill of an Islamic majority. overturning Britians laws, her religious freedoms and customs. DO WE REALLY WANT THE SAME FOR AMERICA? If your answer is "NO", then be the dvd. Patricia Hill Stokes Zoeller
