More Sunshine To Come

After a gorgeous weekend for the east, more sun is on the way for a few days before changes come to the region mid week.

After a beautiful weekend, the work week will start the same as high pressure continues to dominate our weather. We'll continue to see readings in the 80s through Tuesday as a large ridge of high pressure remains in place. By mid week a trough of low pressure will move into the east beginning to cool our temperatures. There is a chance for a few showers by late Wednesday into Thursday, but nothing major at this point. A more significant cool down is coming for the end of the week into the weekend as temperatures slide back into the lower 70s with overnight lows cooling into the 40s. These temperatures will be typical for the middle part of October. Regarding the tropics, there is an area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean. There is a 60% chance fo this system to develop into a tropical depression in the days to come. At this point this system will be moving in a general west and northwest direction in the days to come, posing no problem for eastern Carolina.
