Day 10- Meditate
It's been shown to lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol. Just sit by yourself quietly 5 minutes a day and try and clear your mind of all of life's stresses and think of something that brings you peace. There are CDs, apps and books to help you master your meditation.
I like Deepak Chopra's tweets to help me remember to stay grounded, remember what's most important in life, and to stop and be in the moment.
Day 11- Don't Graze before bed
Studies show people who eat at night gain 3- 3.5 more pounds on average than those who don't. Other research shows eating 70 minutes to 2 hours prior to bedtime could decrease your risk of stroke.
This is a tough one for me with my schedule because I get home so late and I'm trying to wind down. I've started drinking a calming tea instead of snacking.
