The Tropics Are Beginning To Stir

With a very active Atlantic tropical season expected, the tropics are beginning to stir.

With experts expecting a very busy Atlantic hurricane season, conditions are becoming a little more interesting lately. A cluster of showers and thunderstorms continues to move through the Caribbean Sea affecting the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti in association with a tropical wave moving through the region.The wave is moving westward at about 10 mph. This system could be developing further as conditions become more favorable. According to the National Hurricane Center there is a low chance..about 20 percent of this system becoming a tropical cyclone the next 48 hours. If the system develops into a tropical would be named Alex.
