Temperatures have finally surged into the 60s...and will stick around for the week ahead.

After a seemingly endless stretch of cold..rain...and snow. Old man winter has relaxed his least for the time being. That pesky trough anchored across the east coast...responsible for the cold....has lifted away. In it's place a a ridge of high pressure is building in from the west. On Saturday there was not a cloud in the sky east of the Mississippi River. It was a different story today as cirrus clouds floated into the area. These clouds were the result of large thunderstorms across the central plains. We wont see rain the next couple of should hold off until late Wednesday into the end of the week..and possibly into part of the weekend. In the meantime we'll see temperatures climbing well into the 60s, with a few thunderstorms possible too. Some areas could see 70 degrees.
