A few years ago, a friend told me something that stuck with me when she was trying to line up child care for her baby, who had not yet been born. When she called a child care she was interested in, they told her, "You should have called before you got pregnant."
That was my first clue that whenever my husband and I were going to need child care, we needed to get on the ball. Several months ago, after announcing my pregnancy, I started asking friends about which child care facilities they recommended or suggested I steer clear of. They helped me generate a great list of child care facilities around Greenville for me to visit and explore on my own.
Little did I know, the Martin/Pitt Partnership for Children is a tremendous resource for parents on many fronts, including child care. They can help you determine what factors are important to you and then find the facilities that fit your needs.

I'm not inviting people to get nasty and call out child care facilities they did not like, but do you have any valuable advice for other parents looking for the perfect place for their children to spend their weekdays?
