With the recent cool down for Eastern Carolina, a/c units got a break for a while. With cooler air and low humidity, most of us probably saved on energy bills at least for a few days. High temperatures in the 70°s and overnight lows in the 40°s and 50°s, was the coolest air mass of the young fall season. But with increasing temperatures and humidity the air conditioner will probably hum again for a while in the days to come. High temperatures for the next several days will be in the 70°s to around 80°. Overnight lows will be in the 60°s. Along with that the humidity will be on the rise. We could see a stronger cool front by the end of the week, but at this point, it still looks mild and warm for the next several days.
