Our WITN.com web poll posted on Friday, May 15th asks the following:

For the first time in 15 years, the majority of people in a Gallup Poll identify themselves as pro-life. What do you consider yourself?

There were two options in the poll: pro-choice and pro-life. Jim sent an e-mail to us at witn@witn.com stating “I do not believe "pro-life" and "pro-choice" are mutually exclusive”. What do you think? Should we have included “both” as a third choice?

Would someone tell me if making abortion illegal will stop all abortions? Will make all babies wanted? Will make them ready to meet their Maker saying 'I would force women to kill themselves before I would allow a safe abortion," or maybe they just don't think about the consequences and their true lack of control.

i dont think pro life is the equal of 'anti choice' or that pro choice is the equal of 'anti life'. pro life IS anti abortion, but the context is geared more towards 'encouraging towards the choice of life' or 'hoping for the decision of life'. pro choice means 'for the choice of women to end a pregnancy'. it doesnt mean a woman is excited about having this choice, it just means they have the option. pro life doesnt mean that people dont want options for women, they just want them to be options for a living child rather than an ended pregnancy.

who would want to identify themselves as pro-choice or pro-abortion...it is established that abortion IS death of a fetus, a living being. not something to be proud of believing in

Pro-Life means life, always has. Pro-choice now means abortion IE: Death.
