Black Friday...No Thanks

I'm not among those who prefer to hit the stores on the day after Thanksgiving to go Christmas shopping.

I'm not among those who prefer to hit the stores on the day after Thanksgiving to go Christmas shopping.  I would rather watch all the madness on TV!

That madness starts before the sun  comes up.  Retailers will be doing whatever they can, especially this year, to get you into their stores.  There are many people who enjoy the excitement of all of the people and the chance to save a few bucks.  I'm not one of them.

My tradition is to avoid the stores on Black Friday.  I have never gone Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving and this year will be no different.  Sure, I would love to save some money...but I would much rather avoid the hysteria and stress.

Here's hoping if you decide to brave the crowds Friday you find what you're looking for, save some money, and don't end up on TV for the wrong reasons!

I personally think they should outlaw Black Friday. It gets more dangerous each year. It's just asking for more problems we don't need. I also think it's highly over-rated. I make it to the stores around noon and find the very same bargins. I don't believe you have to get to any store at 4am to get a deal.
