The Charlotte Division of the FBI says the man seen on surveillance video robbing the RBC bank in Colerain on January 27, is the same man seen robbing the East Carolina Bank in Creswell on January 6.

In both robberies the suspect was armed with a silver revolver. He is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6’, 175-200 lbs. He wore a dark colored cap with what appears to be fake dreadlocks, according to a release from the Charlotte Division of the FBI.

The getaway car is believed to be a white Toyota Corrola or Camry and it is missing a hubcap. There is no description available on the person driving the getaway car.

If you have any information about either robbery, call the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-672-6100.

Previous Story

The RBC bank in the Bertie County of Colerain was robbed at gunpoint just before 1 p.m. today.

The bank is located on Highway 45.

The robber used a silver handgun and demanded money. No one was hurt.

A witness told authorities the robber was wearing dress pants, a white shirt, a dress vest but no jacket and a stocking cap. Authorities say the man was black, about 6' tall and 170 pounds.

Authorities say it's possible a white '98 Toyota Camry with one hubcap missing may be connected to the holdup, but they stress that is not certain at this time.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Bertie County Sheriff's Office at (252)794-5330

Let's go ahead and profile the guy. Not dumb at all, has researched areas without law enforcement close by, knows when the best time to hit the bank. This means he lives close enough to survey these banks but far enough nobody recognizes him or choses not to report it. I'm going to say he probally lives in the Plymouth, winsor, or Williamston area and the next bank will probally be located West/Northwest of Williamston.
